The new school year got off to a fun start at South Seneca with Falcon Friday.
The halls of South Seneca High School were bustling with excitement as students returned Wednesday for the 2017-2018 school year, but it was Friday’s all-day event that enthusiastically marked the beginning of the school year.
Falcon Friday’s schedule included a full lineup of events for high school students. The events ranged from issuing library cards and holding class meetings to tying fly-fishing lures, making bruschetta and playing backgammon.
The day concluded with a lively appearance by Sweethearts and Heroes, a group of motivational speakers who focus on the impact of bullying. Their energetic and interactive presentation helps empower students to make a difference against bullying in our schools and neighborhoods.
Falcon Friday kicked off the school year at South Seneca in a fun way. Students were able to see old friends and meet new ones, developing school spirit and a community that will last all year and beyond.
