Homecoming week is hitting its stride. Today was Falcon Day, and our middle schoolers were working on their banners, while the high schoolers were had at work building their floats in preparation for Friday's Homecoming Parade! #foreverfalcons
Vocal Jazz is our select, auditioned Show Choir at the High School. They are learning about improvisation, and they have been working on building community. They have combined these things by scat singing in pairs in question-answer form, by singing "stories" in pairs, and playing the game "hats" as shown in the picture. Playing "hats" needs students to create a character based on the hat they are wearing and interacting with other people. Pictured are Molly Stirlen, Christian McCoy, Sylvia Brock, and Kenny Halsey.

The South Seneca Board of Education will conduct a special meeting Wednesday, August 30 at 5:30pm to make summer personnel appointments and to review the District Code of Conduct. After any Public To Be Heard at this meeting, and before new business, the Board will enter into Executive Session to discuss the employment history of a particular person.
Understanding that the inclusion of a new Elementary Principal is on this agenda, unforeseen at the time this agenda was set, a Special Public To Be Heard section will be added to the meeting.
Any members of the public wishing to speak about our hiring process in general will be invited to sign up to do so prior to the business portion of the meeting. Please contact District Clerk Shelley Reynolds by 4pm Wednesday at sreynolds@southseneca.org to place your name on the list to speak.
As always, for anyone wishing to address the board about a particular person, they are asked to send those comments in writing to aprentice@southseneca.org or to szielinski@southseneca.org so that they can be reviewed by the full board in Executive Session.
