The South Seneca Central School District is adding another tool to its communication toolkit: the ParentSquare app.
Superintendent Steve Parker Zielinski explained how he hopes the new communication asset will fit into the district's communication ecosystem.
"We are excited to bring the ParentSquare app to our South Seneca school community in our ongoing effort to make communication to families as effective as possible," he said.
"The South Seneca mobile app (via Apptegy) will continue to be our primary mode of communication from the district for all district-level messages," he continued. "It serves as the source of our “Live Feed” updates to make public notices, to promote the good news happening throughout the district, and to share announcements from other community groups."
"ParentSquare will handle targeted communication to smaller groups, such as one particular school or grade level. It is an excellent way for teachers, coaches, and advisors to send messages to their rosters, or for a principal to get a message out to the group that needs it. We might on occasion duplicate a message from the South Seneca app on Parent Square, but in general, Parent Square is a tool to get messages to smaller groups," Zielinski added.
