One of our traditions in the elementary school is to have the entire staff line up outside on the last day of school to wave good-bye to our students as the busses pull away for the last time. It’s always been a bittersweet moment for us and it really started hitting home that this would be another thing we miss out on due to the school closure.
Well, once the conversations started, we came up with the “Good-Bye Drive By” pretty quickly as a staff. After a staff survey to figure out a few logistics, it was overwhelming to make this event official and line up Main Street to keep our tradition of sending our kids off to summer vacation with a final drive by. It all happened on June 23rd, and we were so grateful to get one last chance to wave to our students as we sent them off into their summers!
