Ray Zajac III, South Seneca Class of 2009, is a now a first-year teacher at Penfield High School.
He is a business teacher, and also a DECA Advisor (Distributive Education Clubs of America). DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high school and colleges around the world.
With Zajac as their advisor, nine students from Penfield recently competed at the State Career Conference in Rochester against almost 2,000 other DECA members across NY state. Each student competed in specialized business and career related events consisting of role play situations and written exams.
Five students from Penfield qualified to compete and represent New York DECA at the International Career Development Conference in Atlanta, Georgia – which will include more than 20,000 members, advisors, and business professionals at the conference in April. This is considered a tremendous opportunity for these students to gain invaluable experiences and skills for both personal and professional growth. And there is no doubt Zajac helped them get there.
So, congratulations to him and his students! This is a big accomplishment. We are so proud to say he is a Falcon forever.
