The 4th grade at had a great time at Persoon's Dairy! The kids got to meet the cows, see how the cows are milked using technology (a great STEM connection), and got to try some curds from Lively Run Dairy that are made with the milk from Persoons. What a trip!

The new movement and sensory path is up and ready for little feet to start using! Thanks @SenecaCountyDOH and the Creating Healthy Schools and Communities Grant for making this possible!

A big thank you to food service worker Sherry Caward and her husband Todd, an apple scientist at USDA apple genetics, for donating about 40 bushels of apples to the South Seneca Central School District! Our students will now be able to keep doctors away for a good long while.

4th grade tends to be a big year for friendships shifting and starting to trend towards "best friends," which can be a tough transition for kids. Maddie Muckey, our guidance counselor, is coming into morning meetings to help with this. We appreciate her so much!

One of our South Seneca bus drivers joined us for the trunk or treat this week. Here is Jeff Beavers, or as our students know him, “Mr. Jeff”. #foreverfalcons

Love these pumpkin paintings! Kindergarten practiced their mixing technique to make them with Mrs. Lutter in art.

The 4-H 3rd Grade Extended Day Program experimented with erupting volcano apples this week! Love the look on the kids' faces!

Everyone is all smiles for our Reading Celebration Day! Love the pinnies!

Mrs. Murphy's Kindergarten class used gumdrops and sticks to practice their 3-D shapes today! What a tasty lesson...it seemed like green was the most popular color to eat!

South Seneca loves their first responders! A huge thanks to the Ovid Fire Department and our SRO Deputy Presher for their presentations at the elementary building this month!

The 5th grade visited the Bath Fish Hatchery today! Thank you to Mrs. McCheyne for setting up the trip and to all the adult volunteers who helped make the trip a success!

It's just a pumpkin kind of Monday, you know? #foreverfalcons

Things are beginning to look spoooooooky around #SouthSenecaES! Thanks, Student Council!

Katie Spahn's pre-K class in #SouthSenecaES spent time this past week working on a STEM project! The kids used apples and toothpicks to create different structures. Looks like fun!
