We hope everyone has a great week off! #foreverfalcons
Families-
I'm reaching out to inform you that we successfully conducted our third lockdown drill of the school year. The drill was conducted in collaboration with law enforcement agencies connected with our school. As always, support team members visited classes to check-in on students, reiterate this was a drill and thank them for their patience. Thank you again for your continued support!
Today is National School Resource Officer Day, and here at South Seneca Central School District, we have two of the BEST. Everyone show some love for School Resource Officers Tiffany Nolan and Zach Nelson!! #foreverfalcons
Our Yorkers Club is headed off to their adventures to Italy! We hope they have the best time and are eager to hear about their travels when they return!
Congrats to these Middle School Falcons! #foreverfalcons
We hope everyone in the South Seneca Central School District community has a great Valentine's Day! #foreverfalcons
Representatives from New Visions came to recruit for their programs yesterday. Traditionally, New Visions only came to speak with the 11th graders, but this year they invited our 9th and 10th graders to hear about the programs. New Visions is a one year, pre-college program geared towards highly motivated seniors. New for the 2024-2025 school year, they will be offering an Exercise Science & Human Performance program which will take place on the Ithaca College campus. This is in addition to their already established Engineering, Life Sciences & Medical Sciences programs.
Congrats to these shining Falcons! #foreverfalcons
Our students in Extended Day Ski Club are continuing to have a blast on the slopes!
MS BRAVES are teaching elementary students to be braver with the ABCs of being a superhero and helping others.
Middle Schoolers were working with our second graders for our BRAVES program (as an extension of our work with Sweethearts and Heroes), while our High Schoolers spent time with Pre-K for some pre-Valentine's Day cookies and cocoa. Fun day! #foreverfalcons

Let's hear it for these High School Falcons! #foreverfalcons
This week is National School Counselor Recognition Week. South Seneca is so lucky to have amazing school counselors, psychologists, and social workers who empower, support, and love our students. So let's show them how much they're appreciated! #foreverfalcons
Let's hear it for these elementary Falcons! #foreverfalcons
Recently spotted at Sky Zone...soaring Falcons. Our eighth graders took a fieldtrip to Sky Zone and enjoyed the day bouncing, trying their teambuilding at the ninja course and rallying to support one another on the warp wall and foam pit high dive. They had a great time and were complimented by the staff and some other adults visiting the establishment who noted, our community and school "must be doing something right."
It was Falcon Day today, and our high schoolers had quite the day. They started off with "Coco with the Popo" and then got to choice if they wanted to do bowling or ice skating on their field trip to Geneva. Not a bad way to spend a Tuesday in February! #foreverfalcons
Congrats to our 5th graders who made Honor Roll this quarter! We are so proud of these amazing scholars! #foreverfalcons #southsenecacsd #academicexcellence #honorroll
A huge note of appreciation for the work Robin Houseworth does with our students in the 4H club during Extended Day! Students were able to make sand art from salt, put together a healthy fruit salad, and do a coffee filter chromatography activity this afternoon.
