Last week we put out a notice that petitions had to be turned in by April 15, but the correct date is actually April 22.
Sorry for the confusion!
Happy Spring Break!
School is closed today and all next week.
We hope everyone gets some well deserved rest and relaxation! #foreverfalcons

What better to conclude "Music in Our Schools Month" than with our Middle/High Annual Pops Concert? Congrats to staff David Turken, Kyla Perry, Chad Eastman, Ellen Eastman Smith and all students on an incredible performance! #foreverfalcons
Talk about March Madness! This was no ordinary pep rally, students and staff enjoyed an array of friendly competition, including sweep the potato, towel tug-o-war and other hilarious games. Seniors came in first place, followed closely by our Juniors. Go Falcons!!

“I am extremely grateful to the South Seneca Teachers Association leadership for arranging this visit from NYSUT and AFT to advocate for our district,” Zielinski said.
“As everyone understands by now, the Governor's proposal to end Save Harmless – and to actually decrease foundation aid for a High Needs district like South Seneca-- was both unexpected and extreme. If it is adopted into the official state budget without revision, it would be devastating for our programs."

For our High Schoolers, Falcon Day meant al field trip to Roseland Bowl. Students were able to do bowling, laser tag, bumper cars, and play in the arcade. There are worst ways to spend a rainy day if you ask us! #foreverfalcons
Students in the TC3 Painting I class were recently able to work with South Seneca alumni and professional plein air painter, Kari Ganoung-Ruiz.
Kari shared her knowledge of notan, plein air, and acrylic painting techniques. Kari showcased some of her tangible and digital works, offered demonstrations and feedback to students, and spoke of her love for painting.
Students learned about using a viewfinder to capture a quality composition, structures of shadows to create eye movement in a painting, and how to create a unique underpainting and still life. At the end of the presentation, students walked away with more knowledge and loved the presentation.
If you are interested in seeing some of Kari's works, please visit her website at http://www.kariganoungruiz.com/
What an incredible opportunity and experience for these Falcon high schoolers! #foreverfalcons
